Introducing Maintain, an empowering MERN Stack web application designed to support domestic violence victims in maintaining and taking control of their lives. Our mission is to provide a safe and private environment where users can document their daily experiences in secure web journals while offering vital resources and assistance. Maintain was my capstone project for my Full Stack Web Development program.

Maintain offers an array of powerful features, including mobile and web-friendly designs that ensure accessibility for all users. With integrated maps functionality, individuals can easily locate nearby resources and places of assistance. The app also incorporates secure login authentication, ensuring privacy and confidentiality for each user. Journal entries serve as a valuable tool for users to document their journey and reflect on their experiences, providing a sense of catharsis and progress.

Conclusion

Throughout the development process, our dedicated team utilized various technologies to bring Maintain to life. We leveraged Google Authentication (Auth0) for seamless and secure login processes. The Google-Maps-React API enhanced the user experience by enabling easy navigation and access to relevant locations. The Mongo Database facilitated efficient data management and storage. To build the front-end, we employed the React framework (without hooks) and utilized Bootstrap for responsive and appealing designs. Tools such as Figma and FlatIcon.com were instrumental in creating an intuitive and visually pleasing user interface.
